We invite you to the last gathering of HR ARENA before Christmas. The place is, as usual, our premises at Nedre Storgate 19 in Drammen.

HR ARENA is an important meeting place for managers who are concerned with organizational development and personnel management. Our goal is to create an arena where we jointly shed light on practical issues and discuss HR-related issues and topics with like-minded people.

The theme for the gathering on 22 November is:
Conflict management in the workplace:
What framework must the employer operate within and how to handle conflicts in a good and constructive way?

Conflicts in the workplace are unfortunately always a relevant issue and a major problem for the working environment and the business in general.

We are visited by Torbjørn Buer, psychologist and director of the Jurists' Education Centre. Together with our employment law team, Torbjørn will go into more detail about the meaning and consequences of conflicts in the workplace and conflict management:
  • Which legal framework must the employer stay within?
  • Review of practical examples from case law
  • Concrete tips for handling
Torbjørn Buer is a psychologist and director of the Jurist Education Centre. He is also a certified mediator through the Norwegian Bar Association, and has had many assignments as a conflict manager and assisted in organizational changes. Torbjørn also has extensive experience from courses and teaching, and is an inspiring and knowledgeable lecturer and leader. He is also an examiner in conflict management at the law school at the University of Oslo and is responsible for mediation training for the bar association.

NB: We offer a simple breakfast with rolls and coffee from 08.00. Torbjørn Buer's post begins at 08.30, and we finish at 10.00.
